The year is 1994, and BMX in Australia is in crisis. Numbers have fallen across the States, and the State Associations are fighting with the National Body. The CEO appointed to drag the sport out of it is under fire for taking a large salary and not delivering on the promised "Big Sponsors".

The Australian BMX National Championships were held in Launceston, Tasmania. Anthony "Howie" Waye takes out an historical 4th straight Pro-Am title win. The first person to ever achieve such a feat.

1994 IBMXF/FIAC ProgramThe 4th combined IBMXF/FIAC World Championships  were held in Waterford, Michigan USA - July 29-31.

There were 1828 entries from 35 countries. The track was built at the Waterford Oaks Country Park and was regarded as excellent. A lot of money was spent on landscaping and facilities and all the big USA factory teams had a presence at the titles. The track and surrounds looked amazing. Australia finished 3rd on the medal tally behind USA (who dominated the event) and France.

Australia took home three world titles with a host of 2nd places.
